The Library's Business & Career Center

BPL’s new workspace at Central Library inspires all those looking to secure their financial future to dream big and achieve their goals.  Make it your place to meet, work and exchange ideas. BPL offers an array of resources and programs for anyone interested in career help, personal finance and small business advice—visit our Business & Career Services page to learn more.

The Center's New Space

Greatly enlarged, the Business & Career Center serves job seekers, freelancers and small business owners. The space includes custom-designed wood counter seating, four meeting rooms equipped with presentation screens, six conversation “nooks,” a co-working area with laptops available for loan, and two seminar rooms with built-in/automated presentation equipment. The Center connects, via a new glass-enclosed staircase, to the Shelby White & Leon Levy Information Commons on the first floor. Funding for the new Business & Career Center was provided by Empire State Development.
