Mapleton Library Renovation

Brooklyn Public Library is renovating Mapleton Library to better serve and support you. The renovation will replace or update critical and major infrastructure: the roof and building facade, the heating and cooling system and the fire prevention and safety systems.

In addition, Mapleton Library will receive a beautiful new outdoor garden space for patrons to attend programs and enjoy a good book.

Mapleton Library is expected to reopen in 2026.

About Mapleton Library

After two decades in smaller locations, Mapleton Library opened at its current home on the corner of 17th Avenue and 60th Street in 1955. The branch’s most popular programs include Homework Help, Story Play, Chess Club and Teen Tech Time.
