Starting Monday May 3, 2021, Dyker Library closed to support floor and shelving replacement work and upgrades to the teen space and meeting room. The branch will reopen in Summer 2021.  Items on hold ready for pick up were relocated to the New Utrecht Branch.

Funding for upgrades to the teen and meeting room spaces was generously allocated by Hon. NYS Assembly Member Peter J. Abbate, Jr. and Hon. NYS Assembly Member Mathylde Frontus.

Please see our location map for branches that are currently open.

Designed by architect Daniel Laitin, the bright, modern Dyker Library features a blue-green glazed brick exterior with pre-cast concrete windows. The branch offers innovative programming, including a monthly book discussion group, a preschool program and an annual family concert sponsored by Carnegie Hall. In addition, the Dyker Singers, a community-based choral group, rehearses at the library once a week and always welcomes new members.
