The Summer Food Service Program (Summer Meals) is a federal child nutrition program that provides funding for meals and snacks served to children age 18 and younger during the summer.

Volunteer Responsibilities
  • Assist in set up and break down of program area
  • Distributing lunches to children
  • Keeping accurate records of lunches served
  • Supervise children and their families during meal time
     
Program Notes

BPL will conduct an investigative background check on volunteers 18 years of age and older, which may be used when considering a prospective volunteer's application.

Participating Libraries

This volunteer opportunity requires a commitment for 2 hours (12:30pm – 2:30pm) for designated service blocks.

Block 4: August 26th - August 30th

There will be no service on days that the library is not scheduled to be open.
