This is a self-service open lab with a support tech in the room to answer questions about:
- Formatting & uploading resumes
- Formatting & uploading cover letters
- Navigating job application websites
- Filling out job applications
- Uploading a document
- Emailing an employer
Laptops will be available for you to use during this session.
Assistance is first come, first served, and there is limited space.
Our staff offer guidance on resumes and cover letters but DO NOT write or type these documents for patrons.

Come to free interactive workshops to learn the fundamentals of using a computer, from accessing the internet to using Microsoft Word. Business & Career Center workshops will emphasize using technology to advance your job search and create your own resume. Workshops will have real-world practice exercises.

Use your adult full access library card to check out a B&CC laptop for use at the Central Library. Laptops can be used to write your resume, apply for a job, or work on your business idea. Most online resources that list as being available only at Central Library are available on these laptops. Check with a B&CC librarian for more information.
Learn new skills, research your market, or explore the world of investing with BPL's free digital resources and databases. Many resources offer video tutorials.
