Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) is open to hosting programs from individuals and organizations that support the Library’s mission of providing the people of Brooklyn with free and open access to information for education, recreation and reference.
All programs must be open to the public and free of charge. To use our spaces for private or paid events, visit our space rental page. If you are part of a community or nonprofit group looking to use BPL’s rooms for meetings, visit the Public Use of Meeting Rooms policy page for information on how to reserve a space. Please note that per this policy, programs that are for "commercial purposes or solicitation of business" are not eligible.
For programs promoting a book, the book must already be a part of BPL’s collection. For further information, see the Materials Selection Policy.
To propose a program, please complete the following online form. Please note, BPL is almost never able to offer payment or an honorarium for these presentations. Proposals are generally reviewed within two weeks of submission. Due to the volume of inquiries we receive, we may not be able to respond to all proposals.
