JOIN Cycle Alliance: A Pro-Period Advocacy Workshop for Teens
The Cycle Alliance is virtual teen program that will empower teens to use their voices through pro-period advocacy. This is a gender inclusive program for ages 13-18.
During these Workshops, Teens Will Learn:
- to destigmatize and de-gender conversations about menstruation
- bystander intervention skills
- media literacy
- how to locate their local politicians
- about the importance of voting
- learn about period poverty

Teens in need of volunteer or community service hours are welcome to apply to be a virtual volunteer for Brooklyn Public Library's Cycle Alliance program as attending these workshops will count towards your volunteer hours. Teens are expected to earn 10-15 hours attending virtual workshops and through independent work. There will be a future opportunity for an in-person programming. The Cycle Alliance is open to teens of all genders. The volunteer application is online: https://www.bklynlibrary.org/volunteer
