Ukrainian Jewelry: Painted Pendants + Embroidered Pins
Drop-in to this three-hour workshop with Heritage Ambassador Artist, Rhonda Weppler.
One part of the session is dedicated to the traditional decorative painting technique which originated from the village of Petrykivka hundreds of years ago. You will learn some basic brush techniques using acrylic paints on a wood base. To protect your artwork, you can coat with UV resin in class. The other part of the session is dedicated to cross stitch embroidery techniques. Both art forms will focus on floral motifs, and result in jewelry that you can take home.
