Center for Brooklyn History CTLE educators

Please join us for our Election Day professional development workshop, "Teaching with Primary Sources: The Brooklyn Connections Program." This day-long event serves as an introduction to CBH Education’s signature archival education program. Participants will learn strategies for teaching with primary sources and navigating an archive, conduct hands-on research in CBH’s landmarked Othmer Library, and leave with lesson plans and resources for teaching a local history research project.

This event is free and open to current Brooklyn Connections partner teachers as well as New York City school-based educators with an interest in archival education, local history, and teaching the research process. Attendees will be eligible to receive 7 CTLE credits; breakfast and lunch will be provided.

CBH Education is generously supported by The Morris and Alma Schapiro Fund, The Rose M. Badgeley Residuary Charitable Trust, The Hearst Foundation, Epstein Teicher Philanthropies, The Michael Tuch Foundation, The Nissan Foundation, National Grid Foundation, The Pine Tree Foundation, and Con Edison.
