Steamy Saturdays: Romance Writing Workshop with Nora Dahlia
If you love romance novels and have toyed with the idea of writing one, come by the Midwood Library for the inaugural meeting of Steamy Saturdays, a romance reader series and book club. Our first book will be Pick-Up, and we are thrilled to announce that author Nora Dahlia will be leading a romance writing workshop for the session.
Harkening to the witty and swoon-worthy rom-coms of Christina Lauren and Kate Clayborn, Pick-up is a new enemies-to-lovers romp whisking us from the stress of city life to lush Caribbean beaches.
Come by and discuss the enemies-to-lovers trope. How do you define it? And what does that look like on the page, especially when they meet for the very first time? Take the first steps towards crafting your very own arc. Get insider tips on how to make characters likable, yet just hate-able enough to get under each other's skin.
The Steamy Saturdays Book Club at the Midwood Library is for all those readers who love romance novels, an emotionally satisfying story, and the joy of a happy ending. If this sounds like you, then come by. We will be reading romance novels of all types (historical, contemporary, cowboy, paranormal), tackling all the tropes we love.
We will be meeting monthly. The book for each month will be announced a month ahead of time and we will have copies for you to check out at the Midwood branch. You can also place your copy on hold here. See you there!
