Recording Booth Pop Up
Stop by the Greenpoint Library and Environmental Education Center for a Recording Booth Pop Up on Tuesday, November 7 from 3-7pm. We invite you to share neighborhood stories of organizing and resistance. We want to hear from you about conversations that you’re having, and organizing that you’re doing, to make for an equitable, just, safe, and inspiring neighborhood. What does a healthy climate, sustainable wages, food sovereignty, and housing rights look like to you? Your story will be recorded and part of a soundscape of Greenpoint. Stop by the Greenpoint Library anytime from 3-7pm to chat with us about your reflections and hopes for your community. Music, poems, and quotes are also welcome. No recording experience is necessary!
The Recording Booth Pop Up is co-organized by Audio Interference, a podcast by Interference Archive, an open stacks, community archive of social movement materials in Park Slope (interferencearchive.org), and the Brooklyn Public Library (bklynlibrary.org). The pop up is part of a larger audio project that is being developed for the BPL Incubator Program, to be realized in 2024. We look forward to chatting with you!
