Personal Histories Writing Workshop - Session 1

Thu, May 1 2025
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Clinton Hill, Meeting Room

creative writing writing workshop

Rediscover the world of your childhood. Record your memories in a supportive environment.

This multipart generative workshop on autobiographical writing focuses on childhood and early life. Meeting over four Thursdays (May 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd), participants will explore names and origins, significant objects, space and home, time capsules, first friends, rites of passage, and celebrations.

Recording our memories allows us to examine and articulate our experiences, and
preserve stories for ourselves and future generations. This process can help us better
understand our individual and collective identities while documenting the stories that
define a community.

This is an all-levels workshop for anyone seeking to write and share their work in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Space is limited. We encourage participants to attend all four sessions.
