Bklyn Incubator Cycle Alliance teen time


Menstruators of all genders are invited to join Women's Voices for the Earth (WVE) and BPL's Cycle Alliance for an afternoon of solidarity, advocacy, and education. 

 

The purpose of Our Story, Our Flow (OSOF) is to provide an open dialogue about our menstrual experiences, discovering safer and sustainable period products, and de-stigmatizing the way society talks/thinks about menstruating. 

 

Who: Teens and Young Adults of all genders
When: Thursday, October 21st, 4 p.m.
Where: Zoom. Please register. 

 

DISCUSSION THEMES

  • to destigmatize & de-gender conversations about menstruation
  • menstrual experiences
  • safe & sustainable menstrual and hygiene products
  • menstrual equity

Teens in need of volunteer or community service hours are welcome to apply to be a virtual volunteer for Brooklyn Public Library's Cycle Alliance program as attending these workshops will count towards your volunteer hours. Teens are expected to earn 10-15 hours attending virtual workshops and through independent work. There will be a future opportunity for an in-person programming. The Cycle Alliance is open to teens of all genders.  The volunteer application is online: https://www.bklynlibrary.org/volunteer
