What are the new stories of collective celebration and tenderness that our world urgently needs? How can we dream up new relationships to the land and to one another? In this imaginative storytelling workshop, participants will dream up new myths for the summer solstice. Writer and storyteller Ingrid Norton will tell an imaginative story about a group of grieving, stressed out Brooklynites transformed by a vision of wholeness on the summer solstice. Participants will then be invited to come together to create their own summer mythic stories of community, initiation, joy, and transformation.
This event is held in the run-up to Solstice in the Park, a communal festival, mythic pageant, and night picnic unfolding on June 21st in Nellie’s Lawn in Prospect Park.
