Monthly Tenant's Rights Workshop: Rent Freeze Programs (SCRIE & DRIE)
Join us for monthly tenant's rights workshops presented by community development organization, St Nicks Alliance.
December's workshop is Rent Freeze Programs (SCRIE & DRIE).
Are you or someone in your household a senior (62+) or a person with a disability receiving fixed income? You may qualify for a rent freeze under NYC’s SCRIE (Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption) or DRIE (Disability Rent Increase Exemption) programs. This session will walk you through eligibility, how to apply or renew, and how these programs protect tenants in rent-stabilized or Mitchell-Lama apartments from increases approved by the Rent Guidelines Board.
