Make Music New York: Bellwire
Join us for a wonderful music performance by Bellwire in celebration of Make Music New York. This program will take place outside of the library. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to inside of the library.
Bellwire is a New England rock band first formed in the summer of 2011. Early experiments in lo-fi, surf, and punk gave way to their jangly power-pop style typified on their EP, Dog Thoughts. Their self-titled LP comes out this release Halloween. Bellwire is an alt-country concept album that tells a story of love and loss (single: Dreamin’). This October they return with their new record in hand and a new road band supporting singer Tyler Berd, featuring Jake McKelvie on guitar, Jonee Earthquake on pedal steel, and Jeff Walsh (The Furniture) on drums. "Crafty inventive songs infused with humor, wit and absurdity" - La Crosse Tribune "[Dog Thoughts] is full of quick-witted, wordy, power pop akin to Elvis Costello or early-day Pavement."
