Make Music New York: Jean Ramirez
Join us for a wonderful music performance by Jean Ramirez in celebration of Make Music New York. This program will take place outside of the library. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to inside of the library.
Jazz Singer Jean Ramirez is a New York City based vocalist and songwriter. While honing her craft as a vocalist in San Francisco, she delved into the world of jazz vocals which deepened and expanded her vocal work and musical world. Her deep love of music and exploration of various genres of music are apparent in her eclectic and adventuresome repertoire that spans from Jazz to World Music, to the Great American Songbook, to Bossa Nova, and to popular music. As a performer, she strives to integrate her love of beautiful melodies, lyrical expression, and strong rhythmic sensibilities in music making.
This program is part of Make Music New York and will include a whole day of different music performances at New Lots Library and other venues across NYC. Make Music New York is “a unique festival of free concerts in public spaces throughout the five boroughs of New York City. All of the performances take place annually on June 21st, the first day of summer and longest day of the year.”
