Journeys by Beareather Reddy

                                                                 “Straight out of Sylvania, GA…..Before 6 O’Clock in the morning”

Beareather Reddy is a singer, songwriter, actress, producer of the Big Eyed Blues Festival, founder of the Brooklyn Blues Society and Heritage Ambassador for the Brooklyn Public Library 2023.

Beareather will take the audience along with her, as she reminisces her journey through music; starting as a little girl in southern Georgia. She remembers watching her ancestors picking cotton in the hot sun and singing spirituals and work songs in beautiful, effortlessly harmonies.

She tells the tales of how they worked hard during the week and celebrated life hard on the weekends.

Her “Big Eyed” observations, later in life, inspired her to produce the Big Eyed Blues Festival, which reinforced the memories of her nostalgic childhood. These images inspired her to write and present the “Journeys” EP.
