What is it like to leave home? What emotions come to mind when we think about our home countries, cities, or the places where we grew up?

Join Quechua-Peruvian author and journalist Marco Avilés for a writing workshop all about the places we’ve left behind. This workshop will help you find the words to tell your story—whether in English or in Spanish.

If you’d like, bring a photo or object to inspire your writing.

Cómo decir "te extraño": Escribiendo Historias del Hogar con Marco Avilés

¿Cómo es salir de casa? ¿Qué emociones nos vienen a la mente cuando pensamos en nuestros países de origen, ciudades o lugares donde crecimos?

Únase al autor y periodista quechua-peruano Marco Avilés en un taller de escritura sobre los lugares que hemos dejado atrás. Este taller le ayudará a encontrar las palabras para contar su historia, ya sea en inglés o en español.

Si quiere, traiga una fotografía u objeto para inspirar su escritura.
