How to Access Your Federal Tax Records and Create Your IRS Online Account
Are you looking to stay up-to-date on your federal tax status? Or maybe you need to quickly access your federal tax records for housing or other purposes?
Taxes are intimidating, and owing taxes is even more so. Knowing what information the IRS has on you and what your tax record looks like can be a great source of knowledge and empowerment. While creating an ID.me account can be a tedious process, once you have an account, you will be able to access more than just your IRS records.
Join us at the Business and Career Center to learn how to set-up an ID.me account to access your IRS records with Mobilization for Justice.
The Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at Mobilization for Justice will cover:
(1) what is an ID.me account
(2) what information is available in an ID.me account
(3) how to create an ID.me account
Please Note: If you want to set up your ID.me account during the workshop, you will need:
(1) a government-issued identification document
(2) your Social Security Number
(3) have an active e-mail address (make sure you know the password to get into your account)
(4) a place to save or store your new ID.me account password
