What is the Hour of Code?
The Hour of Code TM is an international annual program dedicated to getting people of all ages to try just One Hour of Code! They offer lots of free introductions to computer science through fun activities and videos for learners of all skill levels. This year is a celebration of both coding and AI. Join millions across the globe who are participating in and dedicating one hour to coding, with or without a computer, with or without AI, and learning how AI works. Anyone, anywhere can do it. No experience needed
Park Slope Library will be hosting activities every day December 4 to December 8 that open the door to coding!
Join one or all of the activities, so you can say "I did the Hour of Code!"

- Monday 4:00 - Hour of Code! Introduction - A brief overview and registration, and your first chance to code one of three several select coding games. Ages 10 and Up
- Tuesday: 1:00 - Try Binary Knitting - Pick up a kit and explore binary coding with a two-color secret message! You must know how to knit.
- Tuesday 4:00 - Science in the House - Meet an Aerospace Software Engineer - Explore one of the many great career options out there for computer coders Tweens Teens Adults
- Wednesday 4:00 - Kids Create and Teens Create Binary Bracelets - Create a bracelet or necklace using secret binary coded message! Tweens Teens
- Thursday 3:00 Brooklyn Robotics League - Guest visit with Aerospace Software Engineer and the focus is on coding with Spike. Participants earn certificate for their work with coding! Tweens and Teens
- Friday 4:00 Teen Tech Time - Hour of Code Closing - In addition to regular games, try your hand at coding one of three select games and earn a certificate!
