Meet Ponder Stine!
Aerospace Software Engineer
Explore one of the many great career options out there for computer coders!
Ponder Stine is a professional software engineer at Amazon on their aerospace venture, Project Kuiper. In 2022 he graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences with a B.S./M.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a Minor in Computer Science. Previously, he was an Undergraduate Research Assistant on a NASA-funded research project (BrainStim), a Graduate Space Scholar on an experimental GPS satellite (NTS-3) being developed by the Air Force Research Lab, and an Embedded Flight Software Engineer on the MAXWELL CubeSat project at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Currently, Ponder is an Embedded Software Engineer on Project Kuiper, Amazon's venture at providing broadband internet connectivity to unserved and underserved communities via a constellation network of satellites. In this role he is responsible for leading the development of an embedded software application running on the ground antennas that will talk to over 3,200 Project Kuiper satellites!
Outside of work, Ponder can be found reading on his Kindle, watching movies with his projector, or listening to podcasts whilst walking around Redmond, WA, where he resides.
