Heritage Ambassadors yoga and meditation

Welcome to our Heritage Ambassador public Meet up series where folk Heritage artists engage participants into the sharing of their artistic experience, skills and cultural heritage.

Our hosts; BPL Heritage artist and contemporary musician and composer Ben Stapp and his guest Tibetan Buddhist scholar Dr Chok Tenzin Monlam invite you for a two-part interactive presentation exploring Chöd, the visionary Tibetan Buddhist practice originated by 11th-century yogini Machik Labdrön and their collaboration on a musical contemporary work

  • In the first half, Dr. Chok Tenzin Monlam will introduce the spiritual and philosophical roots of Chöd, including its deep ties to deity yoga and Highest Yoga Tantra.

  • In the second half, musician and composer Ben Stapp will expose the unique and collaborative approach they have been developping in blending Chöd with elements of avant-garde and contemporary music—not to dilute tradition, but to illuminate it.

Participants will then engage hands-on with the Chöd framework to shape personal narratives, artistic works, or spiritual reflection.

Reservation strongly encouraged , space limited
