Flatbush Library Book Club: Homegoing
Join Flatbush Library's monthly book club for a chance to meet your neighbors and dive into some great books. We read a variety of nonfiction and contemporary fiction.
For our June meeting, we'll be reading one Yaa Gyasi's debut novel, Homegoing. Two half-sisters, unknown to each other, are born into different villages in 18th-century Ghana and experience profoundly different lives and legacies throughout subsequent generations marked by wealth, slavery, war, coal mining, the Great Migration and the realities of 20th-century Harlem.
Register for updates and reminders about our book club!
Copies of the book are available to pick up at the library's front desk. All are welcome.
