Creative Aging: Unleash Your Movement at Macon Library
Unleash Your Movement is a 10-week program designed to energize your body, spark connection, and deepen your understanding of movement through a blend of partner dancing, yoga, and somatic practices. Each 90-minute class begins and ends with a rejuvenating yoga and Pilates-inspired warm-up and cool-down, focusing on flexibility, core strength, and mindful awareness.
At the heart of the program is an exploration of partner dance styles such as East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and Bachata, where you’ll learn foundational steps, build rhythm, and enjoy the joy of shared movement. Guided by a licensed somatic therapist, the class also incorporates somatic movement practices, breathwork, and meditation, fostering a deeper connection between body, mind, and emotions.
Whether you’re new to dance or looking to refine your skills, Unleash Your Movement offers a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment to build confidence, release stress, and celebrate the joy of movement together.
