Join us for an evening to learn about the development of Newtown Creek with Carter Craft.  The program will include a presentation and discussion about life and work on and along the waterways of NYC, as well as some insightful examples from elsewhere in the USA and the Netherlands.

This final event in our lecture series is curated by Newtown Creek Alliance.

Carter Craft is a water and energy expert with more than twenty-five
years of experience on and along New York Harbor and the surrounding
estuary. As an urban planner, advocate, Licensed Captain, working
parent, and occasional swimmer he brings a deep understanding of the
complex issues in our ecological and political systems. Where there is
often conflict and regulatory boundaries, there should be more synergy.

Carter is a Sr. Economic Policy Officer at the Consulate General of the
Kingdom of the Netherlands in New York (since 2014). He is a founder or
co-founder of many organizations, including the Metropolitan Waterfront
Alliance and Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club, and has been instrumental in
the establishment, growth and evolution of many others including the
Newtown Creek Alliance, Billion Oyster Project, NY Harbor School, One
Fifteen Marina, RETI Center, the River Project, Working Harbor
Committee, Governors Island Alliance, and Hoboken Cove Community
Boathouse.
