Sat, Jan 12 2019
6:00 am – 8:00 am
Central Library, Info Commons Lab

We'll review the fundamentals of HTML, as well as learn how to work with images and videos. Then we'll learn how to style our websites with CSS, and how to use libraries to make our professional websites. This is a workshop, so bring a laptop if you have one; otherwise, we will provide one.

This workshop is part 2 of the series "Computer Programming for Beginners, the Unsure and the Afraid: Web Programming in Python and HTML." You can come to all four workshops, or pick and choose individual ones.

Part 1 - Saturday, January 5: Intro to HTML

Part 3 - Saturday, January 19: An Introduction to Python with APIs

Part 4 - Saturday, January 26: Building a Dynamic Website in Python

Jeff Katz has taught and developed curricula in web development and computer science. He has taught over 200 students how to code, with students going on to work at companies such as Microsoft, LinkedIn and BlackRock. Previously, he developed child welfare software as a developer for Case Commons.
