City Harvest staff and volunteers lead free hour-long shopping tours at local supermarkets throughout the five boroughs. This tour will take place at Shop Rite of Gateway Center in East New York, and is perfect for participants who attended the "Food Smarts" workshops at the New Lots Library. We will meet at the supermarket which is located on: 590 Gateway Dr, Brooklyn, NY 11239 and NOT at the New Lots Library. 

Participants learn tips on budgeting, reading food labels, picking out fruits and vegetables, and making healthier food choices. At the end of each tour, participants receive a $10 credit to shop. 

Registration is required to attend! 

The Food Smarts workshop is brought to you by: City Harvest, Leah's Pantry and Snap-Ed New York. 

Also, be sure to join us on Thursday, August 1st for a healthy eating workshop led by City Harvest at the New Lots Library.
