Come and learn about the rich and diverse culture and history of Uzbekistan. At this Heritage Ambassador program, put on by puppeteer Oleg Ovcharenko, you will learn about the unique clothing of the Uzbek nation. Oleg will showcase the vibrant colored materials of these costumes, and participants can make and color their own traditional paper skull caps!

The fun concludes with a live puppet show performance of “The Magic Pomegranate,” a traditional Uzbek fairy tale. Bring your whole family, recommended for ages 8 and up!

This event coincides with Uzbekistan’s 33rd Independence Day celebration, happening earlier in the month.
