Gina María Balibrera is an Salvadoran-American novelist who grew up in San Francisco. Her 2024 debut novel The Volcano Daughters follows two Salvadoran sisters and their flight from genocide, which takes them from Hollywood, to Paris, to San Francisco's Cannery Row.
