It's back to school time! Today's Photo of the Week shows school children sitting in a reading room at the Prospect Branch of Brooklyn Public Library, a Carnegie library, located at 431 Sixth Avenue. The branch was renamed the Park Slope Branch in 1975. Even back then, kids knew the library was a great place to get their school work done. Just like kids today!

Spent so many hours at the Eastern Parkway Branch in the 50s. Lived on President and Schenectady and it was a short two block walk to the library. It was diagonally across from my first school. PS 167. I loved being there.
