In the meantime, here’s what BookMatch Teen members have been checking out during quarantine:
Strange the Dreamer series by Laini Taylor. It’s easy to lose yourself in this fantasy series about the power of dreams and nightmares.
We Unleash the Merciless Storm, by Taylor Kay Mejia. The sequel to We Set the Dark on Fire, Carmen has to choose between love and La Voz, the resistance group fighting the oppression of those living beyond the border wall.
Animal Crossing. This open-ended video game that lets you interact with cute animal characters is therapeutic and relaxing.
Criminal Minds. Sure, it’s about the most extreme criminal minds, but the mysteries all get solved by the end. Which is comforting in its own way.
Uncorked. Elijah wants to work as a sommelier, but his family expects him to take over their barbecue business. This was supposed to premiere at South by Southwest but now it’s available on Netflix.
Tiger King. Because everyone else is watching it.
One Day at a Time. Isn’t this how we’re all living right now? This is an update of an old sitcom, now featuring a Cuban-American family living in LA.
Outbreak. Some people escape with movies about medical outbreaks.
