It's official: New York City Council adopted a budget that includes $60 million in capital funding and $16.7 million in operating dollars for all of New York City’s public libraries!

This is a big win for Brooklyn’s libraries … and we owe this victory to you! Nearly 10,000 of our loyal patrons and library lovers like you sent letters urging city officials to increase funding for our libraries here in Brooklyn. Hundreds of you even called your council member's office directly.

This funding means that everyone in our borough will have safe, clean, inspiring spaces to learn, grow and connect.

Please join us as we thank Mayor de Blasio, Speaker Johnson and the City Council for their commitment to and investment in our libraries.

Dear Mayor de Blasio, Speaker Johnson, Majority Leader Cumbo, Libraries Chair Van Bramer, Finance Chair Dromm and your city council member
