Virtual Programming
In recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, please join us for this valuable program on preventing elder abuse and avoiding online crimes or scams.
This program will go over the types and signs of Elder Abuse and highlight services and resources available to all older New Yorkers through NYC Aging’s Elder Justice community providers. By attending this program, you will learn about resources available and how to connect with them to receive services. With the help of Apple Bank, this program will also outline ways to identify and avoid cybercriminals using deceptive emails, fake websites, social media, or text messages to steal personal information or money.
Hosted by the library's Services for Older Adults.
Registration is required. The Zoom link will be emailed by 10am the day of the program.
Services for Older Adults is partially funded by Coordinated Outreach Library Services aid from the New York State Education Department, administered by the State Library’s Division of Library Development. All programs are sponsored by Brooklyn Public Library’s Department of Outreach Services. This program is also made possible by Apple Bank.
