Representatives from NHS Brooklyn and a legal services nonprofit will answer questions such as:

  • Can my landlord raise rent to any amount? What is considered a reasonable increase?
  • How do I know if my landlord is overcharging me?
  • Does my home qualify under the new rent laws? How do I find out?
  • How much notice should my landlord give if they will increase the rent or not renew my lease?
  • On what grounds can my landlord evict me?
  • What are my rights if my landlord does not make repairs?
  • What should I do if my landlords serves me with legal papers?

There will be a Questions & Answer period, so bring your questions!
