Join us at Brighton Beach Library as we celebrate Women's History Month with two special concerts! On Saturday, March 15th we'll be hosting a jazz trio with Irina Zubareva.
Irina Zubareva, a vocalist with over 20 years of experience, has established herself on the jazz scene, starting in St. Petersburg and building an international career with performances across Europe. Since 2013, Irina has been based in New York, where in 2021 she released a live album featuring renowned Brazilian musicians Itaiguara Brandão and Portinho, as well as the brilliant Grammy-nominated pianist Misha Tsiganov.
Performing regularly with Misha and frequently interpreting his original compositions alongside those of other New York musicians, Irina was inspired to record her new album, Soul Mystery. This album includes six original compositions and five jazz standard arrangements crafted by Tsiganov. Featuring an outstanding lineup of New York musicians—Hendrik Meurkens, Alex Sipiagin, Paul Bollenback, Misha Tsiganov, Boris Kozlov, and Donald Edwards—the album reflects contemporary jazz and undoubtedly marks a significant milestone in Irina’s career.
