"facing pages" is an in depth look at the artistic process through the lens of journal keeping. As both a painter and a photographer, I have used “daily process” as the backbone of my studio practice. On view are examples of my journals along with the work that has grown out of them. Included are books (both hand made and self published) as well as paintings, photographs and projects combining the two that have evolved organically from my commitment to this life long pursuit.

Nina Meledandri is a native New Yorker living and working in Brooklyn. She received her BA in photography from Hampshire College, but in 1990 began a 20+-year journey as an abstract painter. Meledandri joined the David Findlay Gallery in 2003, which led to two solo exhibitions in NY. She is currently focusing on developing projects that merge her painting and photographic output.
