What is Artist-In-Residence (AIR)? The Artist in Residence program brings talented local artists to the library for the whole community to enjoy. You can participate in workshops and watch the artists work during studio hours. At the end of the summer the art will be available for viewing at the Macon Library as well as the Eastern Parkway Library.
This program is in partnership with STooPS Bed-Stuy.

Artists at Macon Library in Bed-Stuy

Those accepted into the residency program will be granted studio space, stipends and program supplies
The artist-in-residence will be expected to either create a piece of art to be displayed in the African American Heritage Center or lead a workshop or program that brings art to the residents of the Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights communities.
Additionally, all artists in the program will be invited to enter a piece as part of the STooPS Artists program in Summer/Fall 2018.
