ZENTANGLE ART

Tue, May 9 2023
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
New Utrecht Library

adult learning arts and crafts

We will begin the 5- week program having fun with ZENTANGLE ART: an easy to learn drawing method which incorporates a combination of simple patterns like dots, lines and curves. Our highlight will be studying the work of Austrian born artist GUSTAV KLIMT, and will examine his famous paintings like “The Kiss”, “The Tree of Life” and “Adele Bloch-Bauer.” All students will create their own Klimt-inspired artwork using a picture of themselves incorporating Klimt’s many playful patterns as well as his famous gold details.

* Registration not necessary, but we encourage students to attend all five consecutive weeks, since the projects are on-going and continue weekly.

Funding provided by the Friends of New Utrecht and Councilmember Justin Brannan
