Yoga & Poetry with Farrah Field
Imagine starting your yoga class with the wise words of your instructor, who calls out a pose or two, and the pose is followed by a poem read live by its author. February's poet is Farrah Field. Field is the author of Wolf and Pilot, Rising, and the chapbook Parents. She lives in Brooklyn and is the co-founder of Berl’s Poetry Shop.
Joelle Hann began her yoga practice in 1997 and completed her teacher training with Alison West of Yoga Union in 2002. Since then, she has studied with inspired teachers such as Ginny Kapular, Gary Kraftsow, and Panditji Rajmani Tigunait and many other trail-blazers in the American yoga world. Joelle’s yoga journalism has appeared in publications such as The New York Times, Yoga Journal, Time Out New York, YogaCityNYC, and Yoga International. In her other life, she works as a ghostwriter and book editor.
Please bring your own yoga mat. Doors open at 9:00 am. Class starts at 9:30 am sharp.
