Take a well-deserved break from your job search or your work-week!

Join us for an hour of networking and commiserating with other job-seekers from 3 to 4 PM, followed by a matinee screening of a workplace film classic.

This month's film is Working Girl (1988), directed by Mike Nichols.

For anyone who’s ever won. For anyone who’s ever lost. And for everyone who’s still in there trying.

When a secretary’s idea is stolen by her boss, she seizes an opportunity to steal it back by pretending she has her boss’ job.

The movie will start promptly at 4 PM. Registrations are appreciated! This program is intended for adult participants. Viewer discretion is advised.

BPL's Business & Career Center programs are generously supported by The Andrew Carnegie Foundation, formerly Carnegie Corporation of New York, Citizens, Data Axle Reference Solutions, Dime Community Bank, Dr. Beverly S. Jacobs, Goldman Sachs Gives through a grant recommended by Goldman Sachs, Google.org, the Marguerite Casey Foundation, and Ridgewood Savings Bank.

A white woman with fluffy blonde hair in a white blazer, houndstooth skirt, stockings, white socks, and sneakers sits at a desk on a cord telephone in front of a 1980s computer monitor, surrounded by other office workers.
