A First Friday Event

As a small business owner having an effective pitch is essential to your business. A great pitch can be used to secure funding for your business, attract the right customers and increase sales.

The Library’s Business & Career Center has partnered with Brooklyn Women's Business Center to present their "Perfecting Your Pitch" in-person workshop. Join us for our "First Friday" #pitchedition. Participants will hear from two successful business owners Temika Walker (B4URSKN) and Danielle Chery (DMC Original Art) who will share their success with pitching for grants and partnership opportunities.

There will be a quick coaching session led by Camille Newman, Director of the Brooklyn Women's Business Center @LDCENY, on mastering your 30 second pitch. Ms. Newman has secured close to $200,000 in grants for her business. Attendees will also get the opportunity to get feedback on their pitches. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how to pitch, network, and build your business.

This First Friday event is part of a series of women-focused programming. Continental breakfast will be served.

BPL’s Business & Career Center is generously supported by Dime Community Bank, Lead Funder of the PowerUP! Business Plan Competition, Dr. Beverly S. Jacobs, Ridgewood Savings Bank, and Reference Solutions.
