Online drama rarely stays small. What begins as an offhand comment can quickly transform into targeted harassment and widespread discrimination. This workshop challenges teens to examine the ripple effects of conflict and hate online and the personal dilemmas of speaking up.

For ages 13-18. Registration is recommended. Snacks will be served. 

Introducing the Teen News & Media Literacy Pilot Program funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Brooklyn Public Library will be one of seven libraries testing this program across the country! What happens? Workshops developed by Common Sense Media that bring media literacy to teenagers.
