Do you love reading? Do you love YA fantasy books? Do you love talking about your favorite books with your peers? BPL Librarian Eric Horwitz is hosting a virtual book club for youth ages 13-18, to be held over a Zoom call on Thursday, July 16th from 1:00 P.M to 3:00 PM.

Register online here and you will be emailed a Zoom link to join the conversation. Because it's a virtual book club you won't even have to leave your house to attend! Just be sure you have a working camera and mic and you're all set. This book club holds up to eight participants.

This month we'll be reading Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor. The story follows Sunny, a Nigerian twelve-year-old who has trouble fitting in because of her American accent and her albinism. But when she discovers her latent magical powers, she and three other youngsters are tasked to catch a dastardly criminal.

You can find this book on our digital elibrary, the audiobook in particular is always available.
