In partnership with the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, please join us for Virtual Storytime with special guest reader Olugbenga Enitan Temitope "Gbenga" Akinnagbe. Gbenga will be reading I, Too, Am America, written by Langston Hughes and illustrated by Bryan Collier. We will sing some songs, discuss what it means to be an "activist", and talk about how to fill out the 2020 Census as a family! View the broadcast premiere from the Brooklyn Public Library Family Facebook page.
Gbenga Akinnagbe is an activist and actor best known for his roles in To Kill a Mockingbird (on Broadway) and The Wire. He is also the founder of Liberated People, a lifestyle brand designed to inspire people to act.
