Virtual Open Newsroom: THE CITY and Brooklyn Public Library
Have questions about rent, employment, or food? Let’s have a conversation.
The Virtual Open Newsroom is back, and this time we’ll be diving deeper into issues about life in NYC during coronavirus. The Virtual Open Newsroom will have three meetings in one week with each night focused on a different topic. You can sign up for one or come to all three!
- To talk about rent and tenant issues on Tuesday, July 14 at 6 p.m. sign up here
- To talk about employment and unemployment on Wednesday, July 15 at 6 p.m. sign up here
- To talk about food access and security on Thursday, July 16 at 6 p.m. sign up here
As before, The Virtual Open Newsroom will meet on Zoom and break into smaller groups for the conversations. A facilitator will guide each group through activities to help identify concerns and questions regarding that night’s topic.
The following weeks, we’ll meet up again in more of a panel setting so that community members can ask and answer questions to folks around New York who will be able to talk about resources and assistance navigating these three specific issues.
Once you sign up, we’ll send you the Zoom link to the Virtual Open Newsroom the day before the event.
