Join the Library's Healthy Communities Initiative for our quarterly Maternal Health Summit for families, parents and community members. This event will feature conversations, workshops and information sharing with local health practitioners, advocates and more on feeding, breastfeeding and family nutrition.

Breastfeeding and family nutrition are essential parts of maternal health and well-being, yet so many new parents struggle to find information and support. Learn about ways you and your family can find support and self-advocate for your healthcare needs. Topics will include: doula services, lactation support, food access, and medical care.

Regina M. Conceiçaõ, reproductive justice activist, Certified Doula and Lactation Counselor,  Early Childhood and Family Specialist, Head Start

Natalie Ohly, MD, Interim Chief Obstetrics and Gynecology, Kings County Hospital

Lousette Saint Victor, MPH, Data Analyst for Shop Healthy program, NYCDOH

Catherine Vautor-Laplaceliere, Certified Lactation Specialist and Doula
