Brainy Babies early literacy first five years multilingual storytime sign language storytime toddler time

Families can enjoy stories and activities designed to encourage brain development and early learning practices with Brainy Babies storytime for children ages 0-3.  Each week we will read books, sing songs, and do fun activities that promote language development, social-emotional skills, and more. Books and rhymes in Spanish and English are included and participants will receive sensory toys and books to enjoy at home. Parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to learn about community resources, enjoy children's music, and connect with peer support networks through a weekly e-newsletter.

Registration is required to receive a Zoom link for this 7-session program that meets Thursdays at 1 p.m. from Jan. 21 through March 4.

Brain Building at BPL is made possible through support by the Robin Hood Foundation. Additional support for BPL’s First Five Years programs is provided through generous funding from the New York City Council as part of City’s First Readers; The Pinkerton Foundation; Lucille Strider and Robert Myrstad in memory of Adam Strider; Hamond Family Foundation and Terry Mansky; Andrea R. Bozzo & John Martinez; Sagalyn Family Fund; and Ellen Freudenheim & Daniel Wiener. Support is also provided by the Brooklyn Eagles—a group of young and engaged Brooklyn Public Library supporters.
