University Open Air: Cinematography: Introduction to High-Speed Video with Camera Demonstration
A high-speed camera is a device capable of capturing moving images with exposures of less than 1/1,000 second or frame rates in excess of 250 fps. High-speed video has applications ranging from commercial cinematography to measuring motor vehicle safety (crash tests), and aiding in sports performance via biomechanical analysis. In this workshop, you will learn about the peculiarities of filming at such extreme frame rates. Participants will also be introduced to a brief history of high-speed image capture.
