Join Brooklyn Public Library as we celebrate the 75th Anniversary of A Tree Grows In Brooklyn!

Special guests Amy Lyons, artist of the HarperCollins 75th Anniversary edition cover, and the family of Betty Smith--along with contemporary authors--help celebrate a book that, according to The New Yorker, "deserves to be thought of as one of the greatest American novels.”

With live music and refreshments, Brooklyn Public Library's year-long celebration of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn continues with this tribute at Leonard Library. The book's heroine, Francie Nolan, enters Leonard Library and discovers "the world was hers for the reading."

5PM - Unveiling of the Betty Smith Literary Landmark Plaque
5:30 - 7:30 pm - Live Music and Refreshments

Please RSVP at right.
